Sesamoid Fracture: “Peggy Sue”

Peggy Sue is a sixteen year-old Quarter Horse mare owned by Marilyn and Rowan Tyson of Elbert, CO. She came to AER to have a severe abscess treated prior to arthroscopic surgery to repair a sesamoid fracture in the same limb. Her fracture repair and post-surgical rehabilitation went extremely well, and after spending the three months with us, she went home to continue life as a working ranch horse.
